Book Club - Charles Dickens. Introductory meeting

-
- 17:00 - 18:30
-
- Study room 1, 1st floor, Stadsbiblioteket
Step into the vivid world of Charles Dickens and explore three of his most renowned novels with us: David Copperfield, Great Expectations, and A Tale of Two Cities.
Whether you're new to Dickens or revisiting his classics, this book club offers an opportunity to discuss unforgettable characters, timeless themes, and the richness of Dickensian storytelling.
The book club starts with an introductory meeting where a librarian provides practical information, guides a joined reading of a short text and gives advice on how to discuss books. The library supplies the books for the book club, but after the first meeting the club is run by the participants.
As an extra feature we offer the book club to join our event on May 27th with author Lucinda Hawksley, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens. She will offer an engaging portrait of the female characters in Dickens’ work.
